Terms & Conditions

By renting from Last Nights Dress NZ ("we", "us", "our") you agree to the following terms. Please read them before confirming your rental.

1. Rental Period

Standard rentals cover one event (typically 4 days including delivery and return). Your rental period begins on the day the dress is delivered and ends when it is dropped off to NZ Post for return. Extended rentals must be agreed in writing via Instagram DM before the rental begins.

2. Booking & Payment

All bookings are made via Instagram DM at @lastnightsdressnz. A booking is confirmed only once payment has been received in full. We reserve the right to cancel an unconfirmed booking if payment is not received within the agreed timeframe.

3. Shipping & Delivery

• Shipping is $15 each way via NZ Post. Rural areas may incur an additional charge.
• We will send the dress with a prepaid return bag included. Simply drop it at any NZ Post shop after your event.
• We are not responsible for delays caused by NZ Post or courier services.
• Local pick-up and drop-off is available at UOA (University of Auckland) and Totara Vale, Auckland, by arrangement.

4. Sizing & Fit

We provide size and measurement details on each listing and are happy to send additional photos or measurements on request. Unfortunately we cannot issue refunds if a dress does not fit once it has been shipped. Please check sizing carefully before confirming your booking.

5. Care of Garments

You are responsible for returning the dress in the same condition it was sent. Please do not:

• Attempt to wash, dry-clean, or iron the dress
• Apply fake tan, heavy perfume, or spray products while wearing the dress
• Alter or repair the dress in any way

We handle all cleaning after each rental. Simply return the dress as-is.

6. Damage & Loss

• Minor wear consistent with normal use is covered at no extra charge.
• If the dress is returned with damage beyond normal wear (stains, tears, missing embellishments, etc.), a repair or replacement fee will apply. We will always discuss this with you before charging anything.
• If the dress is lost in transit on the return journey, you will be liable for the replacement cost. We strongly recommend using the prepaid return bag we provide.
• Loss or damage due to theft, misuse, or negligence will be charged at full replacement cost (RRP).

7. Cancellations & Refunds

• Cancellations made more than 7 days before your event date: full refund or credit note.
• Cancellations made 3–7 days before your event date: 50% refund or full credit note.
• Cancellations made less than 3 days before your event date: no refund. A credit note may be offered at our discretion.
• If we are unable to fulfil your booking (e.g. dress is damaged from a prior rental), you will receive a full refund or the option to choose an alternative dress.

8. Late Returns

The dress must be dropped off to NZ Post by the agreed return date. Late returns may incur a fee of $10 per day, as it may affect the next renter's booking. Please contact us as soon as possible if you anticipate a late return.

9. Privacy

We collect only the personal information necessary to process your rental (name, address, contact details). We do not share your information with third parties. By booking with us you consent to us storing your details for the purposes of fulfilling your rental.

These terms are governed by New Zealand law. Last Nights Dress NZ reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of our service constitutes acceptance of the current terms.
